I believe that the Series 1 Turbo had a steel compressor wheel, and the Series 2 had a Nylon compressor wheel. Both had ceramic turbine wheels.

nah all r33 had steel type compressor wheel , s1 and 1.5? were 6 blade and s2 were 5 blade in memory , r34 s2 had the nylon compressor wheel s1 r34 had series 2 compressor wheel with the vg30 exh housing. ALL of them had a ceramic exh wheel

well if it is nylon then that means my car had the newer r34 turbo on it??? To me it looked very much to be steel and all felt factory when i unbolted it. Only other thing i can think of is that some of the late series 2 had the turbo that was fitted to the neo 34 motors? In any instance wouldnt the newer nylon wheel be better??? How did u find out it was nylon?
