Whats This Tube?

was poking around the engine bay today, noticed a metal tube under the plenum thats not connected to anything

had a look in the manual but cant make head or tails of this tube? its a 34gtr plenum

can someone please tell me where its meant to go or its meant to be like this?

hahah well done getting such a clear pic there!

that is the breather for the front diff, if you follow the hose down you will see (feel?) that it ends on top of the diff. It should not have a hose on the other end, it breathes to air
