Hi Guys unfortunatly my r34 Skyline (NA) was written off a few months ago due an accident (rear ended in the ran and spun out at low kms) thankfully no one was hurt but due to chassis damage it could no be repaired. Due to this i am selling my left over and stock parts:

A/c Unit: Bought new A/C unit from EBay since my old was abit stuffed up. Unfortunatly never got to fit it in when it arrived. Price: $100

Stock Suspension: Bought coilovers since i was going for handling rather than performance so suspension is perfectly fine. These will only fit on a R34 coupe NA or a R33 GTST. (note there are no pics since my dad packed it up in the shed, though will post them if needed). Price $150

Coilpacks: Persuaded the original owner to put splitfires in before i purchased the car so have these lying around. I think one of them might be faulty due to check engine light but car ran perfectly fine the two years he drove it with it on so i dunno. (note will only fit on a N/A i think)Price $100

Received your PM but can't reply due to post count.

Still interested in the A/C unit, but have a few questions. When you say brand new, is it actually brand new, not a reconditioned one? Do you know if it works? I know you said you never fitted it, but maybe you plugged it in or something...

Add on MSN, or email to like_spike AT hotmail DOT com.

It's not new. But it looks like a good condition 2nd hand one. Those units last for ages, so the defective rates are pretty low. I got a spare one, but one plastic button is broken. So just look out for that, other than that it looks pretty good for $100.

Neo coil packs are in fact interchangeable between RB25DE (N/A) and RB25DET (turbo) engines.

It should say HANSHIN MCP-1440 on the packs if they're OEM.

um yeah sorry should have clarified, as theponyremark said it is a second hand one reconditioned. The auto button on my old one fell off and the off button couldnt be pressed so thats the first thing i checked on the reconditioned one. I wasnt able to test it since i got it a few days after the crash but was reassured by the ebay seller that it works (seems reputable). The only issues i can see are that they are missing the bottom led's, not sure why. These can just be replaced by your old a/c unit led's or if you choose some new (different colours) from members on this forum (if he still does them).

And thanks for V28VX37 for clarifying since i though they might be the same as splitfires which have different models for the GT, GTT and the GTR. The coilpacks have

HANSHIN

MCP-1440

on the back so im guessing thier oem.

EDIT: COILPACKS SOLD PENDING PAYMENT

Since there seems to be a bit of expertise here as well, I may as well ask.

The problem with my unit is that I believe the thermometer is broken. It goes to the top fan level of heating for any temperature set above the 18 degrees. So it is always trying to run full blast with full heat when set to 18.5 or higher, or if it is set to 18, it runs full cold full blast full time.

Are the thermometers contained in this unit?

Hi mate im not really sure about the where the thermometer is located and not to be rude or anything but that question wont most likely get anwsered here. Your best bet is to try searching for it or if its nothing about it all then post a new thread in the gereral maintainence section in the forum.

Sorry bout that. Let me know if you are still interested in the a/c unit after figuring out the cause.

thanks kumarz

Thanks dude. Already posted in the General Maintenance section... But the more places I ask, the more likely my question is to get answered.

Have you got any other pics of the unit?

Check the temp sensor, behind the little vent looking thing on the front of the lower dash near where your left knee is. Very common for these to get unplugged and not put back. With no input they just ramp up the heat output.

    • I'm running a Haltech Platinum Pro with the stock map for the RB20DET + tweaks for my build. When I started it this morning, the IAT was at 32F/0C (Outside temp was ~42F) and the AFRs went off the scale for my AEM gauge. I let it run for ~30 seconds then turned it off. I then did a smoke test, by hooking into a vacuum line directly behind the throttle body, and confirmed there was no leaks ( i let the smoke tester run for ~5 minutes / confirmed it was generating smoke before hand ). I then started the car again, after fixing a power steering leak.... and it seemed to be happy for ~30 seconds (was at ~11/12), but then seemingly shot back up to ~18 again. I then let the car run for a few minutes, thinking this was just cold start related, but the AFRs never came back down. I didn't let the car fully warm up, so maybe this makes sense, but I'm not sure what to do? The AFRs, when I last ran it, were normal, but because of personal reasons I haven't been able to break in the car. It was rebuilt last year.
