So I've recently moved to Revesby from the St George area, and using the M5 from the River Rd Revesby it took precisely 1 hour and 40 minutes to get to work, which is f**king ridiculous compared to the 40-50 min drive it usually takes me. I'm going to try Centenary Dr tomorrow but I think its going to be shitfight as well. Anyone know any handy shortcuts to bypass the major roads (carparks)? I need to be at work by 8am.

Cheers!

Used to live in Penshurst and drive to Lane Cove once a week.

Way I used to go was down King Georges/Centenary Drive/Church St and then take the exit and turn right when you hit Victoria Road.

Keep going all the way down and take the exit to Lane Cove when you get to the Gladesville Bridge.

From Victoria Road onwards it was a pretty sweet run especially at that time in the morning, it used to take me about an hour.

Nah nowhere near there. If you're going up Homebush Bay Drive, you go straight over Parramatta Road. You need to keep going past Rhodes, past the bridge on Concord Road/Church St and then just before you reach Top Ryde there is an overpass for Victoria Rd where you have to take the exit on the left and then turn right onto Victoria Road.

From Revesby I guess you have to take Stacey St and then go down Liverpool Road to get to King Georges Rd first.

Ok, so I'm really bored at work...

king georges, roberts rd, centenary drv through homebush - then victoria rd exit when you hit ryde

edit: doh beaten

I would LOVE to own a bike, but I'm fairly convinced I would get killed on it, so I'd prefer to be late then dead, even though it would be a lot of fun on the way!

Anyway I found that way pretty good on the way home, but on the way to work the Hume Hway/Centenary Dr was clogged until the M4, is there a way to bypass that?

;) EARTH will do the trick, failing that use the UBD

Welcome to revesby :worship:

best way to get there in the morning would be to go thru punchbowl rd/or canterbury rd then onto roberts rd and onwards to homebush/lanecove rd. i have never actually done it that way before.. or ever had to get there at that time.

get a job closer!

    • Hi guys, Sorry to butt in and take it slightly off course, although still on the VCAM subject.  I had VCAM put into my Tomei 2.8 bottom end and I struggle to take off because the engine has very little torque caused by VERY low dynamic compression at 60psi. But once off the mark and especially on boost, the engine rev happily all the way to 8000rpm and makes 630hp at 20psi of boost on E85 at the rear hubs. Has anyone had any similar experience or any suggestions on what might cause this low compression at low rpm? I am in the process of converting it into a 8hp transmission and with this low torque, the engine would not even stay running until the throttle is opened to more than 30% and then I loose all vacuum.
    • Last year I got a set of MCA street coilovers for my turbo Forester after my son hitting a concrete gutter/wall on a small bridge causing the whole drivers side suspension to get bent because the rain just made the car slide out I love them, I think they were $2400. even had a hiccup of have the wrong hub configuration (my fault) so got onto MCA and they sent the correct shock ends overnight parts from QLD, for free!  I was very impressed with their customer service and quality of the product
    • They've had some weird failures on their brake actuators. One of them was because they added some kind of lubricant to the factory fill brake fluid that aftermarket brake fluid didn't have so it would affect the seals. Another was just mysterious, probably internal corrosion or something eating away at Prius brake actuators. Parts alone for those are a few thousand USD so not a cheap fix.
