+1 on that!

Even though they did get a little mixed up on the cars....lol!

Would agree if the initial post did not say all these things are available for the M35 (years 96-00) :whistling: Do you see the error there?

Not much point listing lots of C34 parts in a M35 thread IMO. It only confuses the information available to people.

Clearly there is demand for "Thick bits of bent metal Sway bars" If whiteline want to make them for M35 Stageas then that would be great, feel free to borrow my car if you want to make templates.

user demand is high enough. . especially now that PM35 (non turbo) Stageas are now suitable for compliance. .

Jules

Hi Jules,

Hi Andy,

This was due to copy and pasting error it caught the M35 from a listing but we thought we would just let stagea owners know that we have done bars for them before but has never been listed and we have been a registered user on here since 2004 but never really let any information out.

The idea of posting here is just to help you all get the products you desire as it looked like you were all trying hard with no easy solution so we thought the more help the better.

It looks like there are people willing to offer thier car for R+D and we could develop the bar bushes and links to be available through traders not us and obviously the person that helps with the car would be fixed up for the help!

Whiteline, a few points;

1: Before I set up the group buy, I approached one of YOUR retail outlet points about the possibility of having Whiteline manufacture these sway bars, as I have used your products in the past.

My reasoning was, that if we were to get together enough people, perhaps it could be made as a custom item, but in bulk. This way I thought, it would be worth Whiteline's time and if there was further demand, your company would be well placed to satisfy that demand. Someone's got to be the first car you do it for; Right?

2; I was mocked by the staff member of your retail outlet (who are effectively the face of your business) for requesting a product my car "didn't need" and that Whiteline "don't do custom orders"

3; I then took it upon myself to email Whiteline personally, to find out whether the arrogant retail outlet employee (note; Not the business owner) was misinformed.

4; I recieved NO reply from Whiteline, and therefore decided to go through another business who WAS interested in my custom, is a wealth of knowledge :worship: and has been energetic and helpful THROUGHOUT the entire transaction thus far.

Frankly I find it a little rude, that now there is a chance to make a buck; after having completely ignored me, you post what is basically an advertisement for your product In this thread to take advantage of my and others hard work.:spank:

If this is not the case I would be happy to discuss this issue OUTSIDE this thread.

I would also appreciate it if others would stop giving a platform to this disappointing and apparrently calculated attempt to take work away from a business that was interested enough to step up, and actually SPEAK to me and provide a service I and others are looking for.

That is all.

Dale.

I will clarify point 2; The arrogant person I spoke to was NOT a Whiteline employee, he was an employee of a well known suspension specialist that I have recommended in the past.

I have no issue with the shop in question, just this know it all. However, this is the showcase for your business, I would be VERY disappointed if someone I had entrusted with the reputation of my business behaved in the way this individual did.

The problem is, I then tried to bypass this bonehead by communicating with the business directly, they decided my custom, and the concerns I outlined about my experience wasn't worth their effort.

No worries, I get the message. Unless you own a common as muck car, that they can make a bucket of easy money out of; don't bother.

My concern is for the guys that trusted me; on the understanding that I had made every possible effort to find the best possible product for the best possible price. I did, and I have.

Then these guy waltz in and act all benevolent; "We'll do a deal for the person who helps us out" Naturally people are interested. Why didn't they want to help me?

I don't want to seem like I'm taking the credit for the swaybars; I've always been upfront about who did all the hard work. Just wanted to share MY experience.

I won't post anything further in this thread, as I feel Whiteline have had a fair ride on our coattails as it is, and I feel Todd from Signature Swaybars has earned our (definitely my) respect for being keen and willing to help enthusiasts by producing a quality product. He is the kind of person us enthusiast need.

Hopefully, Whiteline will see my criticism not as an insult, but as a wake up call as to how ignoring a simple enquiry can turn a previous customer into someone elses best friend. What a missed opportunity...

Hi Dale,

We would like to discuss this with you as if a distributor has spoken to you like that or not helped you with you enquiry we are concerned and would like to take that matter up with them.

Could you also let us know what email address you sent your enquiry to as all our emails are archived so we can see when you emailed and we are usually so prompt with our replies we would like to work out why you have not been replied.

You are also right in saying we do not do custom one off bars we recommend all work like that to the same place you are trying to get them made and have a great relationship with them.

The idea is to make this a product line not a custom bar as from what we can see here is that the cars are popular and we can stock them for people that are not in the group buy or just want one out of the blue at a further stage and not have to wait many weeks for.

Please phone us to discuss this and who you maybe able to approach to supply you what your looking for on our toll free 1300 882 355 ask for Wayne Bolton.

We are only trying to help guys as it does not look like it has been easy for you all to obtain the sway bars you are asking for.

We are not here to make a buck we make plenty over the world on all our products this was just to help and hope that people would think we are a company that provides on demand parts that are not available in large volume.

This is not advertising we have many outlets for that and we do not sell direct or on here but many of out traders may so we thought we may help come up with an easy way to obtain bars that looked hard to get and a long wait each time.

In the interest of fair play, I'll address this publicly for everyone to see.

Hi Dale,

We would like to discuss this with you as if a distributor has spoken to you like that or not helped you with you enquiry we are concerned and would like to take that matter up with them.

I won't post the name of the business publicly, as I have great respect for the business owner, and all my other dealings with them have been exemplary. For all I know the employee was having a bad day. Frankly, I don't care; which is why I disregarded his "advice" and went straight to the source. The second brush off is the heart of my criticism.

Could you also let us know what email address you sent your enquiry to as all our emails are archived so we can see when you emailed and we are usually so prompt with our replies we would like to work out why you have not been replied.

I commenced my search for Sway Bars midway through last year, and I routinely clear my "Sent Items" so as you might appreciate, six months later, I can't supply the email address unfortunately. I simply went to your website and clicked "Contact Us" and went from there.

You are also right in saying we do not do custom one off bars we recommend all work like that to the same place you are trying to get them made and have a great relationship with them.

I agree; Signature ARE excellent, Todd has been extremely helpful.

The idea is to make this a product line not a custom bar as from what we can see here is that the cars are popular and we can stock them for people that are not in the group buy or just want one out of the blue at a further stage and not have to wait many weeks for.

I welcome freely available upgraded parts for this car, which is why as an existing Whiteline customer I went to the trouble of going direct once I'd been insulted at a retail outlet.

Please phone us to discuss this and who you maybe able to approach to supply you what your looking for on our toll free 1300 882 355 ask for Wayne Bolton.

Thank you, but I've already done ALL the legwork, and found Todd from Signature on my own, and have organised a Group Buy to benefit the guys in this forum

We are only trying to help guys as it does not look like it has been easy for you all to obtain the sway bars you are asking for.

You're right, it wasn't easy.

We are not here to make a buck we make plenty over the world on all our products this was just to help and hope that people would think we are a company that provides on demand parts that are not available in large volume.

Not here to make a buck? Let's be honest now.

This is not advertising we have many outlets for that and we do not sell direct or on here but many of out traders may so we thought we may help come up with an easy way to obtain bars that looked hard to get and a long wait each time.

Really? You use a business name as your sig, you quote Whiteline part numbers, you direct people to Whiteline email addresses, you coincidentally whistling.gifpost in a thread which is about a product you supply, FFS, you've even provided details for Facebook prizes!

I could go on, and if you can tell me how even one of the examples I've referred to ISN'T advertising; I'm all ears. I'm sure the moderators would see my point too.

I'm not "Anti Whiteline" by any means, but you must appreciate, there's certainly other ways you could've got the word out.

Regards, Dale.

I'd like to say thanks for your effort and persistence Dale.

Whilst I have not yet purchased the Signature swaybars that you organised, I fully intend to when the time comes and look forward to future GB's.

Much happier to buy from those that do the leg work than someone who rides coatails just to make a buck.

Sooo, I've just had a VERY interesting chat with Wayne from Whiteline.

All is not as it seems.

Wayne is a relatively new addition to their team, and has taken it upon himself to improve the aftermarket support we have for the NM35. Inadvertently stepped on my toes, but is keen to get involved.

It seems we may have some very interesting becoming available for the wagon, and quite an ally as it turns out.

I know I started it, but no more Wayne bashing ok?

Watch this space...ph34r.gif
