my mate brought one a while back, stanbridges in north perth or somewhere near there, have a track and races every 2 weeks or so i think.

whole bunch of nerds turn up, i'd say they all own s15 rc drifters and hyandai exels as real cars :S

lol

me and house mate have rc drift cars :D

i got a 32 gtr shell as my bunky and 34gtr ztune shell as my show off :)

mate has a whole bunch of shells he drifts with...

he also drives a JDM s15 and i drive a gtr... and we don't goto the stanbridges things hehe.. so that kinda proves your point.. :)

we just drift out front of our houses around the round about and area :) stanbridges is too far anyway.. lol

Stanbridges hobby centre in mount lawley have drifting EVERY sunday thereabouts out the back. THey have a sweet setup out there and you'll enjoy it quite a bit.

Hit up www.westernrcdrifters.net.au for more details.

they have a rule against nitro cars (because they're loud, smelly, heavy, obnoxious and all-round f**king GAY) so if you've got an electric setup, head down and have a blast.

I've got 3 or 4 drift RC cars. Been into RC for like best part of 12 years. I can think of a few of the guys there with sweet cars. One guy has an s/c crown and a mint-as old blue HR, another guy has an my05 rex on te37s as a fun daily, one guy used to have a widebody FC which he did himself, until he sold it (to another guy into RC drift). Few with 32s and 13s etc.

They're still nerds with excels though hey.

HPI Pro-D chassis with a 5700kV Mamba brushless, only running on NiMH until I can be bothered to fork out for LiPo.

R34 GTR Z-tune shell, silver with black bonnet, black ally wing and working head/tail lights. Spektrum radio gear, fake fmic and exhaust pipe. Currently shod with the bronze rims and tyres that came with the old TT-01D WRX kit.

Good times :action-smiley-069:

Hmmm im not particularly into drift but i was ranked 15th in oz and 2nd in WA for onroad RC racing. carbon fibre x ray chassis FTW. had a couple of hack tt-01s hat i used to just drift with in the carpark of old apartment i used to live in but got pretty board after a couple of weeks which is why i got into the proper RC racing. Havent raced though for about 10months since the last state titles.

If you boys are into your rc the australian on road racing titles will be held in bunbury prob about september next year, once every 6 years we get it here and is fantastic to watch and be a part of.

As far as rc drivers driving nerdy cars.... well there was some nerds there but i used to race with one of WA's top drag racers (real cars) oh and saw ex Eagle troy Wilson every so often.

couple of good websites are

www.teamadrenaline.net (mainly off road but there is some links to drift websites)

www.rctech.net (mainly racing but you can pick up awesome prices on modified RC cars, i look at some prices that people are selling their smashed up cars on here for and just laugh)
