This could be the infamous worn pivot ball...

Or a worn clutch pressure plate...

Good way to tell is to check out the action of the slave cylinder piston while someone pushes the clutch pedal. If it's not moving then you know it's slave/master cylinder or pedal related. If it's moving fine then look at the release arm motion...if it's not moving, pivot ball, if it's moving fine, pressure plate.

Dunno man never had to do them but its defiantly a mechanics job just take it down and get a quote and when they tell you the price take it home and start saving =)

if ever the mechanic will look into the gearbox will he charge me for that? tnx..
