Hicas Bar

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

I have a R32 GTR and want to remove the rear steering rack as it steers weired at Mallala

race way. especially powering out of the northern hair pin. the rear keeps trying to step out

when under full boost and I don't think it is all power related.

So does anyone know where I can get a HiCas bar from in Adelaide?

and instructions as to what power steering lines to remove / block

when I remove the rear rack?

Thanks for your help

Cheers,

Geoff. :D

hi mate, hicas bars are pretty simple (and pretty much all the same). Smoe kits include a loop back for the pipes which is the easiest option, if you want the other options there are a range of detailed threads around if you search.

But as well as that, at least a basic attessa controller, and a good wheel alignment should help heaps.

What are your current wheel alignment settings?

Howdy,

I have only had the GTR out a couple of

times, it's a non registerable import, so the only

runs it gets is on the race track.

The local "experts" at the track all say to remove

the rear steering.

I have not checked the wheel alignment as I was waiting

to remove the rear rack first.

What settings would you recommend?

I set my last race car up with:

front 2mm toe out and 4 degrees neg camber

rear 2mm toe in and 2 degrees neg camber.

I relise all car models are different and would appreciate

any help/advice you can give.

Cheers

Geoff :D
