I have a R32 GTS-T and I have a walbro fuel pump ready to put in. I am just trying to find some info on how to install it. I have found a diy on the bosch pump. Is the walbro much different, has anyone installed one of these and have some tips on what to watch out for when installing? What requires modification? Any help would be appreciated, cheers

Your walbro should have a foam sock with it. With the sock on it should pretty much clip back in to the stock cradle.

Apart from that some soldering and clipping on the saddle filter and your laughing.

Yes it has that, it clips to the bottom of it.

The pump should also come with a bit of foam that u can put around the pump. It comes with that because the pump is thinner than the stock item.

Did your pump come in a box with all the stuff? Like instrustions, the foam, wires, etc. And did the box have walbro stamped all over it? Like whats on the justjap site.

If it came in a plain white box with walbro written in one place and doesnt have good instructions OR the foam, its possibly a fake.

I dont see any foam piece in the box and it is a plain white box. I bought it from sliding performance off this forum so I thought it would be more credible, is there anyway of knowing the true pumps from the fakes?

Sorry to bring up an old thread but how did you go with the install? What model walbro was it? I want to get another pump and apparently walbro are pretty good. Did you need that foam piece in the end?

I'm not sure how he went but I just put one of the 750hp 400lph in my R32 GTR last weekend and I had to mod the cradle a fair bit. It's mounted well in the end but it's not a drop in replacement.

What sort of mods did u do to the cradle?

I did mine last week also. Thought it was pretty straight forward. Trim the top of plastic. Then hose clamp it onto the existing half plastic mount.

I always use walbro and am yet to have a failure

I used the new filter sock which sat at a 90degree angle off the bottom of the pump so I had to mount the pump directly upright. It wasnt until I went to put it back in the tank that I realised it wouldn't go lol so I had to pull it apart put it in the tank and attach it in there. Bit of a bitch and I'm sure there is an easier way lol.
