hey, i was wonderin if anyone knew how theelectrical system works in the r33, i just took delivery of a 4 dr version and when i picked it up from the freight company(live in darwin, purch car in sydney) the batt was flat and they had to jumpstart it by hooking the cables onto a larger post under a cover at the front left of the engine bay, and hooked the neg onto a piece of metal on the strut tower. whats the go, is it the same system as some of the porsches use (diode) or wha?

the battery is in the boot. there wasnt enough room in the engine bay for the battery to be placed there so its in the boot, under the parcel shelf. not sure if this is the same for the 4door version, but thats how it is on the coupe model.

its probably just gone flat from sitting on the jap docks / aus docks and on the ship without being started. when i brought my car i had a key tag and paper ring thing with "flat battery - ECR" so no big dramas, should all be fine :D

Remove the front trim panel in the boot and there it is on the left under the parcel shelf (I have 2 coupes). The std batt is tiny and needs regular replacement with a sealed and vented via hose model to remain legal.
