lol, fair call.

Clutch in my m3 has a super low point... I'm used to it and it was changed recently too =/

I just sold a 318is E36 and the clutch had a slightly low take up point on it however I put this doen to wear, but I did find out that the take up point could be adjusted in the E30 and some other models (not the friken E36 though) it may pay to see if yours can be adjusted also if you're slave and master cylinders are ok--just a thought. :touch:

BASHO - if you're open to front wheel drive I've got a 2000 model pulsar with a turbo conversion that I'm selling. I've got 11k on it and its in a hell of a lot better condition than some of the cars you seem to have looked at. Unless you're into drifting it might be worth a look.

Meh, I duno. Ie you can't change gear without the pedal being to the floor. <Doesn't bother me at all though.

Fairly sure everything's right atm, I have some biiiiiiiiig receipt bills :D

Tell' me about it, I sold my sterling 98 R34GT-t (big mistake) because I got the shits about Qld 6cyl rego frakin silly insurace and associated running costs and bought an Aus delivered 97 318is with 62000kms, all good until I found out the BMW charges $700.00 for a set of 4 plug leads--$840.00 for an AFM etc etc .

I couldn't sell the frakin thing fast enough , it's now gone, I had it 2 months from pick up to piss off , I didn't loose any money anywhere but the upshot of my bad attitude is that I'm now searchig for another car I can like and I'm driving round in the wifes PT frakin Cruiser.

here's pics of my now gone R34GT-t,

i think that both R33 and Zz30 are nice... But they are old hat... To make them nice they must do something different away from the norm to keep the ''OG jdm'' flag flying.. They have to be unique to mix it with the new wave of V35 and other new ''buzz'' imports.. Same goes for s13... If you're driving og jdm in 2010 make sure you step your game up so that you can stand out from the other poorasses that get them :D

Fair enough man, after seeing you mention wrx's as well i figure it was worth a shot. Good luck with your search.

oh good that yours isn't standard cos neither's my ''ugly'' soarer..

[opinion]My god you make your cars ugly.[/opinion]

The second half of your carsales ad is excellent. I'd do much the same to sell a car. Funny gets the enquiries.

Unless the cars are fugly, ofc.

:(

As I said personal opinion dude so dont be offended ;)

It could be the fact that every soarer I see is that shitty early nineties green colour and they all have really badly faded headlights.

But I'm getting too off topic, sorry OP. How goes the hunt? I vote S15 with vertex kit

The hunt goes no-where :D

I've got one last 180 to see on Thurs, then nada that I can get to without hassle.

The whole 180sx marque (that I've come across) has been fraked by silly mods and owners who have obviously spent far to much time reading Fast Fours, then gone out and worked out every permutation of mod that either makes the car go slower of blows it up---then done them to thier unsuspecting 180s , though I have to say theres a goodly number of the same farkers who have applied the same logic to WRXs from what I've seen so far as well.

This excercise gives a whole new reason for car dealers to exist , -and me the shits..

I think if I'm determined to get a 180 I'm going to have to bring one in ---actualy see if Kristian (Iron Chef) thinks there may be one worth bringing in first

I have been looking at the R33GTS-t ser IIs on carsales and there seem to be some good ones around so I'm seriously thinking of saying farkit I'm back in a line , stop bitchin and eat the costs.

    • Any number of different ways. Have the coils draw sufficient current to provide contact wetting. Use different contacts in the switch, either by material or design, better suited to the low current drawn by a relay coil. Etc.
    • Hmm, how does the R34 manage to have headlight relays then without getting excessive carbon buildup on the headlight switch contacts?
    • Not R7R. Meant to type R&R, obviously enough.
    • Bugger "making it look stock". I put one conventional internally fused Hella relay behind each globe. I just pulled the plugs off the back of the globes and built new loom segments with male and female plug parts to match up to the original loom and the globe, and used the original power wires to each globe coming from the switch through the original loom plug to trigger the relays. Ran a big fat (also separately fused) power wire across the front of the car to feed all the relays. It's as ugly as f**k, but it is wedged down between the headlight and battery on the RHS and the airbox and headlight on the LHS, and no-one ever looks in my engine bay, and on the odd occasion that they do I simply give no f**ks for what they think. Fully reversible - not that you'd ever want to. For f**k's sake. It's a Skyline. They made million of the bloody things. We've been crashing them into roadside furniture for 30 years now. There is a negative side effect to putting relays on the headlights. The coil current is too little to properly clean the contacts in the switches and they get blacked up and you have to open them up every couple of years and clean them manually. I have 25 years of experience on this point.
    • I was poking through the R34 wiring diagrams vs R33 and noticed that the R34 has proper headlight relays while the R33 is like the R32 and sends full headlight power through the headlight switch. I'm not afraid of wiring but I really would like to do this in a way that looks OEM (clipping into open positions on the OEM relay box) and also unlike the factory wiring which interlocks the high beam and low beam on the halogen series 1 GTR headlights I want to make it such that turning on the high beams keeps the low beams on as well. Any advice on how to locate the specific connectors + crimp terminals + relays I need? I was thinking one NO relay for low beams and another for combined high + low running off the factory high beam headlight connector. I don't really want to splice into a crusty old probably discontinued factory harness so fully reversible is my goal here.
