Hey!

Just wondering if i can get anyones advice in regards to the OEM DVD player in the section above the glove department in a 350GT.. Came back from Korea to find my sister didnt turn my car over properly.. (Sigh!) and therefore had to be jump started etc.. but unfortunately my DVD will not turn on at all.. so just wondering if any has had this issue and if there are some possible solutions to help me try turn it back on!

Thanks

-Kiera :P

Mind sharing what actually happened? THanks!

Hey not at all...

Went to Korea for close to 6 weeks and my sister was 'supposed' to turn my car over so my battery was right for when i get back.. anywayz that was a fail and came back and the battery was flat. First time it had to get jump started for some reason the DVD would not turn on at all. Came back and had to get it jump started again.. DVD player still not workin! Sooo after gettin shut down from audio places near my place coz they wouldnt touch a OEM dvd player.. I opened my DVD face (which was hard to get open previously..was sitting very tight.. but i eventually got it) and pressed the restart button. Had to reconfigure my monitor to play when put on AUX coz it kept going straight to TV instead of my playlist for songs.. and eventually got it workin ;)

Was stressin out coz my DVD player was my last hope for playing music.. because my CD player thats integrated into the BOSE system stopped working about 6 days after i bought the car :(

Anywayz, its working.. for now *touch wood*

Hi,

Your telling me that your playing mp3's off a DVD through the DVD Rom ?

The same DVD Rom that you use to do the JAP to English Conversion ?

I thought it was just for a map disc for the Jap Nav.

Yeah my playlist of songs from my DVD player comes up on my screen :)

Does yours operate differently?

sounds like he has an aftermarket DVD player in place of the standard DVD rom. There is no face on the DVD rom or reset button.

LOL... I was just kicking myself for thinking I could have used the original japan DVD drive for mp3... glad you pointed out that he was using an aftermarket unit
