Thankyou Trev that is somewhat of what I needed to know.

Now is there a difference in the 2 turbos on the same engine?

They are a sequential setup arent they?

How do you tell the difference in the turbos from a whole pile stacked up at a Jap wreckers when you have nothing to reference them to???

Is this possible or are there too many variants?

Are the 2 turbos a matched pair or can you change one without it effecting the other?

No.

No they're not.

Serial numbers (don't have 'em handy) or the short cast dump pipes with the Nissan symbol are often still attached to the terbs and are quite unique.

Yes, possible if you know what to look for.

No, not matched and yes, can change one.

http://www.rinkya.com/ you can go here and search R32. The thrid one down is for gt-r and they have turbo for r32, r33, and r34. There are some good picture to find numbers for a/r .

Here is a good link for r33 gt-r turbos: http://www.rinkya.com/cgi-bin/twview.pl?UR...uction/h5418381
