They did..

but, so I've been told they were weaker and some Jap owner removed them, and went to the orignals..

sorry to say but thats not correct they get taken and put on other cars or sold seperatly, brembo braked gtrs have taller discs and brembos are beater calipers which is way all of the rest of the gtrs had them(they are the exact same brakes as the 33 gtr) ,good luck with sale i,m not prepaired to pay $30,000 for an incomplete v-specII though i am looking for one cheers anyway

Thats just what i was told by the importer when i bought it... so i dare say it was them that took the brakes, if they are as good as you say.

Does anyone know if there is a Letter or Number in the vin that i can look for to confirm that it is a V-Spec II. Have had a fast check done on it and it has come back positive.

When i had the fast check done it also came back that the Nismo kit was a factory option on my car.

Model code should finish with AA, also check for the poprivets that hold the build plate on make sure try are still the tamper proof ones, there are plenty easier ways to get Brembos than to change discs, calipers, and probably master cylinders on a car that relies on those brakes to set it apart from every other GTR....

I checked those thinks today while cleaning it, the Model code does end in AA and it seams to have what i would call tamper proof rivets.

Is there anything else to prove its genuine?

i have to sell this car... its upsetting having a beautiful car like this just sitting in the garage, and being unable to drive it...

Now i've had 3 SCAMS off car sales..

So for SAU members i'll be dropping the price to $28,000, to help with a quicker sale.

Anyone interested please PM me and i can supply a full list of mods and any other car details.

Some of the bigger mods include:

Twin GT2860rs

700cc injectors

Coilovers all round.

and my fav, custom 3" stainless exhaust with Internal Mufflers and a Xforce Connon Muffler on the rear.

is it me or does the vspec sticker look way to high up..

we've already been through this... i've done all the checks and it is genuine..

i did have the boot resprayed a while ago tho, so the probable didn't put them back correctly..

Come on guys...

I need this car SOLD.

If your interested make an offer, i'm pretty open at the moment..

Please PM or call me i'll answer any questions you may have.

thanks.

As i keep getting told that it isn't a "Complete" V-spec II, through private emails.

I have now dropped the price to:

$26,000

To allow for the purchase of the Brembo's.. and to relocate the Sticker :P..

I have had over 20K spent on this car in mods, and can't afford to go much cheaper.

If you interested, please get in contact with me.

Not trying to hijack but differences are:

Wheels (also wider and larger rolling diameter)

Brakes

Rear Diff (ALSD)

Retuned ATTESSA

10mm lower suspension standard

Stickers

Rarity....

Given that there seems to be a shedload of V-Spec IIs floating around, I am pretty sure they have multiplied (and I have no reason to think or suggest mine is any more or less genuine than this car) however the 2 things that are the best indication (Model Code and VIN) say this is a V-specII, and they are harder to change than the brakes. I know that mine is missing the ALSD, again heard rumors of unreliability... To me this car is Genuine until a 1 owner car with complete history shows up with the same VIN.

Good luck with the sale, hope it goes to someone who appreciates it for what it is.

Thanks for the assistance. All the numbers do say that it is a V-Spec II.

Hopefully it can go to a good home, and to someone who knows what it means and not someone that has no idea.

Thanks

Ben

    • Not really, no. Anything you would do is easily reversible.
    • I would like more noise related info for my truly uneducated guess  Does it do it at idle or when revving, clutch engaged, and disengaged? Does it only do it when the car is moving? I've heard "similar" noises from a clutch pack that left the chat room, and CV joints that have chewed themselves out But as Matt said, how's the yokes, tailshaft and centre bearing going after their last little issue Fingers crossed it is something simple  Weird noises make me cringe
    • One other question, is there a chance that changing the idle speed can lead you down a rabbit hole and is the reason the tuner didn't touch it? Reason I ask is because if that's the reason the tuner avoided it then I probably shouldn't be touching it lol.
    • Pfft. As if I'd ever point a high pressure washer at my car.
    • The nature of my commute has changed. Way back then it was traffic lights all the way, for ~28km. It sucked. When they finally stitched the expressway together I could do a good 15+km of it at a steady 80-100 with no stopping. That alone has gotten me down to flat 10s. Prior to that it was mid-high 10s. I can't remember the delta that I saw when I got the idle down. It was only ~150 rpm, because the idle speed was never terrible, but for the delta in consumption to be noticeable it would have had to have been at least 0.2-0.3 L/100km - which is not to be sneezed at when it comes for absolute free. It's only about 50L per year, but that's ~$100. A few extra pizzas is always welcome. Note that I have a record of every tank of fuel that has ever gone through my car except for a handful put in by someone else, like my mechanic. I can show you the difference between stock RB20 and tuned RB20, stock RB5Neo and tuned, winter and summer fuel blends, winter and summer fuel blends when the ambient temperature is not appropriate for the blend, working O2 sensor, blown O2 sensor, boosting f**k out of it and frightened to boost it because it is pinging, and so on. OK, I probably can't do all that now with 100% clarity - but at the time when any of those things were in event, you could see it in the records. There's 25+ years of simple tank after tank records, so you have to look for landmarks to work out approximately how old any single record is. What's really important is the meta data and that lives in my head.
