Was a good night, despite not bringing my 33 GTR (bagged a ride in mates wrx instead).

Highlight for me was driving the 35 down the road to get fuel, I didn't drove hard in case anyone is wondering...

It's hilariously fast even if you're a passenger, if you got offered to ride inside one, do it.

Photos to come later tonight hopefully, quality won't be great cos I took some.

Cheers

Grant

your car was quite the looker too man. got a few good pics of it.

haha cheers bro

nice, cant wait to see them :(

Big thanks to everyone, I had a ball! I haven't really given the Audi a good thrash since all the mods so I was wrapped at how much fun it was..

Loved the evo and 35 as well, god that was quick!

haha thanks

did you end up going to the next meet point? cause thats when i left and everyone turned around but you kept going the opposite way

Thanks to all that attended. It was a good turn out considering it was freezing cold around 16ish cars. thank god it didnt rain thou.

We took a wrong turn but ended up meeting with everyone else soon enough...

Thanks again Dan, awesome night

that cracked me up for some reason. ;)

Is it sig worthy?

Haha, I think the cause of me being a noob with camera and you showed up with proper flash, tripod and other fancy bits that I gave up straightaway.

was a great meet, nice turnout, the weather was freezing but least it didnt rain on us

OMG that R35 was HOT az, I think we had the WOW factor last nite driving along with a R35 GTR lol

Thanks Dan for organising a good event

maybe we should do a re run in the summer, might get more cars and do the part we couldnt due to road works just a suggestion and get some nice pics against the beach beign the background...what do you guys think?

^^^ That would be great, but in summer, that area is insanely popular with tourists and their inconsiderate driving! Makes 'spirited' driving a bit difficult but do-able though.

+1 for organising another one in not so freezing conditions, I'll make sure I bring my GTR this time.

Thanks Dan for oganising a great night. Let me know when the next one is and lets hope there will be no more try-hards in BA Falcons around.

Awesome night; but it was farken cold! ;) (Damn, i'm sounding like an old grandpa :) )

Thanks Dan for organising the night, the time and effort is appreciated!

A big thanks to Dave for the left, those rs4 seats are insanely comfy and worth the small fortune they cost. It's always great to have such a top performing back-up car :P

Hopefully my car will be back on the road soon enough!

awesome cruise Dan. thanks mate

highlights of the night was and i still cant get over this but cruising with a GTR 35 was just...crazy lol was just weird going for a cruise and having a 35 in the pack not afraid to give it sticks. HOT

and Dave i pretty much JIZZED when i saw the rear just squat then on let off a nice twin flames shooting out of your Audi. very very very hot and clean car mate.

roads was awesome in my comfort spec chaser...apart from the scrub scrub scrub front bar smashing on the freeway under heavy braking and sparks shooting from my exhaust lol

awesome cruise

    • 49719 is the cooler loop. Right at the front, LHS of that diagram. Return line from rack (LP side) goes to cooler loop on RHS front of car, then back under engine and returns to bottom of tank. 49717M is feed from tank to pump. HP line out of pump is thick rubber, followed by the hard line that runs down to crossmember and runs in parallel (but opposite flow direction) to the LP return line. Nothing goes anywhere near the firewall or interior of car. The closest they get to that is the connections on the rack.
    • Thanks, plan is to drain all fluid tomorrow and do smoke test to find out the leak.   Appreciate your help and want to understand how the system work. So cooling is achieved by the long loop not any rad? The diagram seems to suggest it connects to somewhere inside the cabin and I thought that is a cooler inside firewall. If you look at the diagram it seems to show it connects to something inside firewall. I tried chasing it but not easy unless I take loads off   i am confident pump is good as fluid goes in and it gets soft( steering) but as soon as I turn engine off , loads of bubble come to surface and overflow. When engine is on , fluid level is below minimum but when off it shoots off and thinking it is sucking air in. I suspect aluminium pipe may have a crack line or whole   smoke test with no fluid should be a good start and if needed will remove the pump   In addition, the one going under the engine bay is high pressure line and one directly connecting from pump to resorvoir is return/ low pressure?   finally I searched and suggestion is to use dexron 2 but that is discontinued so bought dexron 3 as all research suggest it is compatible and shouldn’t cause any issues/ blow seals. I bought two liter of dexron 3 motul atf
    • Don't worry about. Just don't try to drive hard enough to make boost and you'll be fine.
    • Yes. This has already been said. It is a loop of hardline in front of the radiator. Because.... the pump is on the LHS and the steering rack hydraulic connections are where they always are on a RHD steering rack....on the RHS. The high pressure line goes down under the engine, along the crossmember, like it does on all Skylines. Don't just throw expensive braided hoses/other kits at it. Work out what is wrong and fix that.
    • Still got the afm on the intake, clamps are shut tight, only loose hose is the one that goes from the j pipe towards the IACV, since it's next to impossible to find a factory hose and the barbs are different sizes (I'm still using clamps on this hose to try and help it seal on the iacv side) I've ordered parts to make up the hotside of the intercooler pipes, I'll plumb it in and see what happens in a few days I suppose The turbo's internally gated, can I just unscrew the tension rod to let the gate open?
