Dash Gauge Accuracy

Been told the stock gauges in the speedo cluster are a bit iffy accuracy wise, are the gauges in the Nismo dash of better quality/accuracy or are they the same ?

no . they are manufactored exactly the same .

you could argue that they would be less accurate due having the same sweep but a bigger range

It depends on each individual gauge and whats happened over its life etc. As said they will all be manufactured the same but there will be certain allowances.

From what i understand you can do something internally to adjust the tacho and (maybe) speedo as well. I thought i saw a thread about it on here somewhere anyway?

everything including the ECU runs off the same speed sender so they will all read close enough the same.

tyre size (ie different to standard) is the most likely reason for the speedo to be out - have you tested it back to a GPS?

Thanks guys, The speedo is OK as well as the Tacho, its the oil pressure and water temp gauges that I was more interested in, may have to bite the bullet and just get some after market gauges that are more reliable, and maybe one of those big f/off red lights that go off if you loose oil pressure (and a hektic fully sik boost gauge to tell me when Im cracking gate(seriously))
