Hey guyz i bought new Xenon's from a store here in Perth.

And they are not bright at all. I previously bought $19 ones from another store and they were very bright.

These new ones were for $40 so i thought they will be bright but they are very crap. I cant even notice them on. I have to switch on my foglights/spotlight (r33 Series 2 ones) to see at night.

They are 55watts. made in australia.

If i get 100watt ones will my wiring melt? or will it cause any problems?

u sure they werent pretty colourful blue ones, in that case they will be nice and blue but not very bright, what exact lights were they?

I got Narva Blue Power (I think they are) and there pretty good, the Phillips Power2Night are also alright but a bit pricey

i run the phillips power 2 night ones. they are a 50%+ bulb. i had to buy a new set the other day and they were only $45, but that was for H4's. the phillips blue vision are also good. i prefer the power 2 night though as they are a brighter light, but they are a fraction more yellow than the blue vision. they appear to be close to the narva power blue ones. they still give off a white light, but it isn't as white as the fully blue coated bulbs. but all of the fully coated bulbs always have a lower light output than partially coated or fully clear bulbs, and i'd rather be able to see where i am going than have some fully sick ricer globes.

your random brand blue tinted globe proclaiming a million kelvin colour temperature and HID XENON or some bullshit on the packaging is guaranteed to give you a woeful light output. I remember one of my headlights blew and I bought a you beaut MTEC brand or something equally forgetful and fitted them, well.. I just about crapped my pants the next time I drove at night I could only see for about 15 metres and the road in front of the car showed up dim and blue. They were dimmer than 30c "I just need to pass rego alright" globes!!

Any +50 globe with a CLEAR lens should have good light output. They do overdrive the filament to improve the efficiency so expect a shorter life from a +50 but I'd rather replace my globes more often and get better light. The Phillips Bluevision are not bad but they are a tinted lens so you will end up with less light output than the equivalent clear lens.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
