R32 Fuel Pump Power Supply Problem

Hey guys,

Having just recently put a brand new Walbro 255L per hour pump in my R32, its just gotten a little noisy, and ive noticed when the indicators are on that the fuel pump is pulsating in time with the indicators, telling me its losing power each time the indicators flash, im not sure if this is a common problem, and if there is a simple solution? its kinda bugging me and i hate wiring!

try switching the headlights on and off and see if its the same. could be a fault in the indicator circuit pulling the voltage down. have a search about wiring upgrades that should be done to mke the most of your upgraded pump.

Walbro pumps are meant to operate at alternator voltage (~14v) not the standard source 12v (and I believe it dips down to 6v with low engine load)

This sort of issue is consistent with a bad earth. Remember voltage is only as good as the earth, its a circle system.
