mikey123
Hey guyz, i have decided that i want to fully rebuild my engine. i have a r33 skyline 94 rb25det. I would like to do the rebuild my self. only thing ill need help with is the machining if needed. i want to keep the engine looking stock as i have a hard enough problem from the police as it is. Also i have been told that if i buy a after market cpu there is a way i can get the waste gate to open at a higher boost so the turbo pusses harder with out using a bleed valve or boost controller. If this is true wat type ov cpu can i buy? i also have been told that there a way u can send off ur stock turbo to get high flowed to mak the turbo stronger so i can run more boost. would like peoples opinions please Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/333868-wat-is-needed-to-rebuild-my-rb25det/ Share on other sites
gts133
If you have to ask what is needed to rebuild your engine, you would probably be better of getting someone who knows something about building engines to build it for you. True, but RB engines are not "rocket science" engines. If you've rebuilt a holden red, it's time online studying the twin cams, and turbo diagrams. Current trade rates, (multiple k dollars) are pretty dear, while the low cost of parts mean a blown up engine, is the max price of learning. Commute in a 1 k dollar Magna and have a go.
