R34 Gtt Gear Shift

Hi I am new to the Skyline world,I test drove a R34 gtt over the weekend,nice, with 80k on the clock.The gear change,manual,was vague and sloppy.Is this normal or a sign of something sinister?

no, actually that is a very unusual description of a skyline gearshift, they are pretty good compared to 99% of cars out there.

is there a heap of movement in the shifter without it starting to change gears at all? if so the good news is there is a 2c nylon bush at the bottom of the shifter that is easily replaced.
