scotty nm35
I doubt that would work, the cheapest option would be a p1ggyback computer to add the fuel and adjust the timing. Or is anyone able to chip and tune your stock ecu? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/333920-vq30devq30det-ecu/#findComment-5412626 Share on other sites

Or is anyone able to chip and tune your stock ecu? Well we do have jim wolf tech. But the only ecu tuneable are 95-98 and there I would have to rewire and hybrid stuff. Just figured u guys would know about the det ecu in a de car. Just tryinh to avoid more pinning then I have to thanks scott Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/333920-vq30devq30det-ecu/#findComment-5413393 Share on other sites
scotty nm35
There aren't that many vq30's getting around here, especially the imported vq30det's. A few have shoehorned them into s15's etc but they would have gone full standalone and manual box. Your auto will need your ecu to run it, you can adjust the mixtures separately but the ecu must remain... You will need a dyno tune with proper adjustment of fuel and timing, a new fuel pump, new fuel reg, possibly new injectors and then the ecu will probably crap itself anyway. The Emanage Ultimate is working great on my VQ25det with the 5 speed auto, but it took nearly 100 power runs on the dyno so far to get it close to right. At $120 an hour, it would have been cheaper to slot a manual in there.
