Hey guys im currently buying a power fc, and had a look where the ecu goes in my r32 gtr and i found it was an impul high powerd racing ecu or something already in it. Still the power fc would be good for later down the track for tuning etc, but i read that the impul does a few things for eg, change ignition timing, air/fuel ratio, boost limiter, gets rid of rev and speed cut, not too sure about them tho.

So my question is

would it still be better putting the power fc in?

does the power fc do these things aswell?

Should i keep the impul in until i get a few mods done then i can tune the power fc?

What should i do?

Just your advice and knowledge on this would be great guys thanks.

I would say the power fc would do a much better job. From my experience with my mines ecu the mixtures are uber rich, and that seems to be the way with all the 'tuned' ecu's from japan.

I'm getting Nistune very soon, from what I've read and heard it seems very very good, better then power fc even.

I personally wouldn't trust that Impul ecu if your gonna do mods purely because you dont know what the ecu is tuned for.

the impul ecu is a generic tune, so you could put the pfc in, get it tuned properly and find that without changing anything else you pic up 10 or 20kw. or you may gain 2kw. it just depends on how well the tune on the impul suits your setup.
