I got my 34 Gtr motor for under 3k del. Was missing turbo side tho so add another $1000 for that. So under 5k is possible for a 32R motor with gb.

around $7k for used engine + box, at least thats what some of the wreckers charge, you may be able to get em cheaper thru private sale

also, go for an s2/s3 33r engine + box - s2+ boxes have better synchros and the 33 engines have the long nose crank

Seriously though champ if you've already spent money on getting the head rebuilt and ported and what not then rebuild your bottom end and have a nice fresh engine that you know the history of!

You could have a "fresh" Bottom end for around $1000.

Just hone the bores

Though that bore look stuffed and will need a bore which means you will need oversized pitons. But you can find Rb25 Blocks in good condition for around $200 though. I think Steve has a blown AWD RB25 engine, see if he'll sell you the block.

Bearings either Clevite, ACL or Factory.

Balance the new piston (and rod if your replacing the rod as well)

Gasket kit and whack it back together.

yeah im going to look at that avenue again i think...

unfortunately i cant use a normal 25 block with the neo head tho :(ill get the block out when i get back from overseas and sent it off to Lewis engines..

any one pulled just the bottom end out of a car b4? if i leave the auto box on (will be going dont worry!!) im gona struggle to get it out the top rnt i? these autos are like 120 kgs.. and with no head its going to be seriously lop-sided.

got mine out with just tye block and gearbox.. crane had to go high and needed some man lift but we got it..
