In the rb26 what stops the crankshaft from moving back and forth. My dad (who is a mechanic) says that some engines have a sleeve or groove on one of the bearings to stop the crankshaft moving, just need to now if this is the same for the rb26 or is it something different.

there will be a thrust bearing on the main journal, this is what controls your end float it sorta looks like a normal bearing how ever it has walls on the side
