Anyone heard of Lovells springs? Any good?

i have them in my car ..... personally i wouldnt use them .... my car is a bouncy castle ... anyone following me on the cruise knows that!

i heard lovell springs are awesome... not the you want ford springs but its all my mate talks about when he is getting his ford lowered...i dont know what they are like for sports cars but they are difinately the go for fords and holdens and alike...

like any brand, they have varying spring rates and quality.

from what I know they are very good value (ie relatively cheap for their quality) and are pretty good.

the problem you may face is if (like niz???) you get the superlows (low bastard lovells) and run standard shocks, you may find them bouncy.

guess it's the same with any brand. dont frig with the ride height too much unless you have a spring and damper combination which are tuned to each other.

nothing wrong with lovells. They are a good spring, as good as any.

must be my shockies then ... whatever it - they arent a good combo and will look at a redo before next summers cruising .... no point having the power but not enjoying it cos you dont have good "connection" with the road.

yer nizmo i have just got super low king springs on mine n standard shocks n they bounce alot as well as wen u go up a curb or down, u feel it touch the guard or wen u got mutiple peopl in the car, it dosent help, mate said there to soft? is there nyway to 'harden' them up?

andrew .... unfortunately when you lower your car .... you do get "scrapage" happens to all of us .... the best way to avoid is to go up or down a curb at an angle. Im not sure about hardening up your springs ...... as far as i know that requires buying a new set of springs.

yer i seem to do that all the time now, just always happens at petrol stations n speed bumps, there the worst, but yer i was trying to say harden up the shocks, sorry not springs but the shocks if they were harder you wouldn bounce as much

yeah you may have to look at buying a set of adjustable shocks for it ..... either way "to my knowledge" you cant harden shocks.

When you lower a Skyline (or any performance Nissan, for that matter), the rear ends up suffering from severe negative camber. A fix for this is the Whiteline camber kit. The Handling Pack is also a good option; I'm getting that for my GTS-t.

Lovells springs are pretty decent. Can't fault them really. I had some on my old car before I got adj. coilovers.....

....after that I had modified Porsche 911 rear-springs, they were uber-hard but were pretty dam good! Nowhere near as bouncy as the standard lowered lovells....

any super low set up springs suck

thats prolly why king springs only make 1 spring for the r33 which is set to a decent ride height but nothing too low because then you need the shorter shocks as well.

lovells are very good price wise also

i think malaga springs do them?
