Pcv Valve

hey guys have a catch can fitted not sure if its the correct way. my mechanic has used the pcv valve and the intake cam cover breather to plumb the can. and put a bung into ex. side and blocked it completly.

after reading threads im now worried that this may be wrong.

should i re plum the can using both breathers and block of pcv valve?

any input would help

The PCV valve doesn't need to be blocked.

The way to install a catch can:

on the LHS rocker cover is a hose that loops over and goes down to the intake side of the turbo - remove this hose, and run one hose from the vacant rocker cover fitting to one side of the catch can. The other hose will run from the other fitting on the catch can over to the intake side of the turbo.

How much simpler could it be?

You only block the PCV valve if running an atmo. catch can setup.

the catch can goes in the line between the exhaust side cam cover and the pipe back to the intake pipe .

Venting your catch can to atmo is defect and you can possibly get some hefty fines for enviromental shit...

so run the two breathers to the catch can and block off the pcv and everything should be good yes?

leave the stock line from intake side cam cover to the ex side cam cover . run a hose from ex side cam cover to your catch can . run a hose from catch can to intake pipe . block pcv if you want . stupid not to

ok..catch can is vented to atmo. with pcv bloked now. but im still having oil blowing issues on vaccume? any suggestions?
