All vac hoses have been checked and checked again. The ignitor was not removed or disconnected for the spark plugs. The little black wire is bolted in the same place it has always been. I did just give it a quick run over with some sand paper to clean it up though

When you say your car wouldnt run well with the new HKS BOV first installed, Can you describe it?

Would it rev free or struggle to build rpm?

Did it feel like a missfire or engine cutting out completely, if so at wat rpm?

Wouldn't idle without me playing with the throttle, And would missfire when the engine was labored. Building any boost would cause more lag.

Never went above 4k but it would do all that at any and all revs. Would only really drive smooth with no Boost what so ever.

Any luck yet Mate?

May need to check the fuel rail pressure?

Try disconnection fuel pressure reg, blocking hose so there is no vac leak into manifold, and crank it. I think this will give you full fuel pressure...

Or also try tuning the key on (wait 5sec) then off, then back on about 5-8times before you crank it (fuel pump might be getting lazy, but if its failed this wont help).

You may need to check your plugs if your have been turning it over alot with out it firing.

When you looked at the plug last did they look 'wet' from unburnt fuel?

An Injector 'Noid light' will tell you if injectors are being fired.

No luck yet, Did give it another try this morning and noticed that I couldn't hear the fuel pump doing its little start up noise before cranking. So some time today all the plugs will comes back out to see if they have had fuel hit them and I'll go from there.

try starting the car with the throttle all the way down. if it starts but then stalls after you take the throttle off, then try cleaning the AAC valve, i had trouble with it once before, it was screwed. :S

As I tried to warn you in your original thread, the AFM measures the incoming air as it comes in. By venting the air to the atmosphere, less air came into the intake manifold than was reported and why it ran rich & crap.

    • Hi all, I’m currently running a str pipe hi low hks exhaust and downpipe. Was wondering if I change out muffler to a titanium one will it change the sound of the exhaust? Plus I have always liked the look of the titanium pipes … anyone have recommendations to one?    side note already have titanium intake pipes.
    • I looked up my other car that is a R33 GTST series 1.5. Anyone able to confirm what a Aero Form Bumper is?     (1G) 2 Door Coupe; (2GK + 11V) RB25DET; (4B) 2WD HICAS; (7F) 5 Speed Manual; (14G) Super Fine Hard Coat; (15U) Large Rear Spoiler + Aero Form Bumper + Rear Wiper (Aero Selection)
    • Ha ha, all good! I've almost caved in and realised I'm buying one.  I know myself well enough by now that I will start chasing ADHD butterflies half way through building it and not finish it so I'm better off spending the extra money buying one instead of making one just so I can get into straight away.  I would very much enjoy making one as fabrication is probably a strength and definitely a passion but I don't want that to be at the detriment to the car I'm ultimately building it for! There's some pretty good ones around for ~$1100 at the moment so I think I'll just go that way.  At the end I sell it or as mentioned, get another project to make further use of it! Thanks gents.
    • That link was very helpful thank you.
    • That is the option code, not the VIN. Regardless all of that production is considered series 2: https://gtr-registry.com/en-ecr33-vin-table.php
