Nismo Solid Shifter

hey guys wondering if anyone has one in there car, chasing opinions, worth buying? does it make a big differance from stock 34 shifter?

Have installed one into a friends r34, he thought it was a short shifter but it didnt reduce the throw as much as he was expecting it to. It did however feel more solid once placed into a gear and also transferred more noise from the box into the cabin, kind of like a gtr box / shifter.

Good upgrade but not the best bang for buck mod thats for sure.

How much are u getting it for? They are pretty exxy for the result they give you i think.

cheers for the reply dude, just seen it on ebay for like 280 i think it was, the gtt has a quiet big throw so thort it might reduce it a little guess ill put the money elsewhere haha

i got a nismo one of ebay a few years ago but didnt like the noise transfer from the gearbox, so i took it to work with my old stock shifter, cut them both in the same position under the rubber sleeve and re welded the stock end on the short shifter and walla, short shift with no noise at all

feels a bit more solid but the throw isnt much different from factory(only 10% claimed by Nismo) and that for $200+ isnt really worth it especially if you dont like the noise it transfers. funny how NISMO didnt make their slit shifters(30% shorter apparently) for some Skyline models.
