Yeah I would be interested in Sat nav only.

Then get a Spec Doc + ipod for music.

I just like the thought of having sat nav tucked away instead of on a window suction cap, but I guess the options are endless now with touch screen tablets on the market.

Stage222, any pics?

No, the DVD rom is not there, so I guess its useless getting the screen again.

Was the TV an option on the ARX or standard?

I thought it was standard but I have been told it was an option.....

Yes, TV was an option on the ARX.

pics attached :)

Has GPS, bluetooth, WIFI etc.

Loving it. Angry Birds, Internet, Divx, SatNAV, Gsensor (0-100 times etc) Anything Android can do so can this tablet.

Running headphone to the Line IN on the back of the stereo. Works a treat.

Nice job... Well done :)

wow looks like its a yes!

Be careful when selecting what to use to read the ODB2 and the logic of this port is not as simple as it is on most cars found in the USA or Australia.

The M35 Stagea is OBD2 but I understand it uses the Japanese domestic protocol which is different to the protocol for the USA or Australia.

I have tried a number of readers that work on the V35/G35 that do not work on the M35. :(

This includes the BLATZ reader.

The one I know works is the Greddy Informeter touch but that has no output to an external screen.

Very nice.

Do like!

Yup held on via top grade velcro :) doesnt move at all and i went through the blackspur last weekend and it didnt budge!

Though you can be removed if you like.

Though i am running ultra dark tint all round so at night would be very hard to see.. if i am in a dodgey neighbourhood id pull it off.. otherwise i dont really bother.

my tablet has internal GPS!! one of the few! for internet it has wifi so i can connect to my HTC desire or you can plug in a USB next G key.

Awesome bit of kit.

Sweet.

I reckon I might go down this route for my car.

I was going to get a GPS unit and then separately get a spec doc for music.

But I reckon getting it all in one like this would be a better option.

Could also just get one of those GPS units that have MP3 players and an FM transmitter for music.

Im not sure if the ARX stereos have AUX in in the back?

Also, do you have to subscribe to get GPS or you just get it free?

nope gps is free for everyone.. the only thing that costs is the app that interprets the GPS.. i run CoPilot.. costs $50 for all of the maps of australia also has turn by turn navigation etc.. though if you do some creative searching in google you can get it for substantially less! ;)

not sure about the Aux in the back i bought a JVC that has Line In RCA in the back.. it also has Headphone Line In on the front too though i wanted the wiring hidden away..

The tablet comes with a Cigarette charger.. i just took it apart and hard wired it in behind the stereo.

Can't you just use Google maps with navigation? every android OS can run that...and its free?

Yep you could, but google maps requires an active data feed.. so you could tether the tablet to another Android handset running a wifi hotspot OR perhaps get a tablet with a sim card slot.. but if you were looking for an 'offline' solution youd need to go the CoPilot (or similar) route
