Shannons or NRMA. I will be using NRMA myself as the quote was comparable and I already have the house and other car(s) with them, so payments will be easier. I tried YouI (lol) went all the way through their online quoting system (they had V35 Skyline on there) only to be told at the end "Sorry we don't do imports" lol why are they on your system then? Good for a giggle (which I needed that day). Tried Suncorp, yes they do but bend over. I was actually surprised that NRMA were as competitive being a main stream insurance mob. If you feel NRMA is too much, get a quote from Shannons sent to you and then show it to NRMA to get it matched +10% better again. But it has to be EXACTLY the same, so in other words find out how much NRMA will cover you for, get that amount as agreed value from Shannons, go back to NRMA and then Bob's your uncle.

Other alternatives are here

I tried Dawes and fell of my chair and Famous will only insure +30yrs old which puts the wife out as she is under this age bracket. Just Car for me was a lot cheaper (about $300) BUT you miss out on the nice-ties like choice of repairer, windscreen cover, hire car options etc. If this isn't important to you, Just Cars should be the cheapest.

Also find out what they mean by agreed value, what I mean by that is some will say "yes we will cover it for $xx,xxx" whilst others will say "yes we will cover it UP TO $xx,xxx". "Up to" are very big key words.......
