hey guys, i was working under the car this weekend and noticed i have a kink in my turbo oil return, it isnt FULLY kinked but i think its about 50% kinked, i was going to fix it by undoing the ring clamps and pushing the hose up resulsting in the hose stretching out properly and removing the kink, but didnt end up doing it because i knew it was going to be a prick to push the hose up AND i wasnt sure if oil was going to spew out.

any insights?

oil wont spew out, just losen it and put it on properly. if the oil cant drain from the turbo it will build up pressure in the turbo and start making its way past the seals leaving you with an engine that drinks oil and puffs lots of smoke when you give it a boot full.

will oil come out if i take the hose off completely?

There might be a tiny dribble of anything still left in the turbo. But remember, its a drain, it only has oil in it when the oils being pumped into the turbo.

understood, cheers
