I used to play WoW until WOTLK.

Has much changed?

I've still got 4 lvl 70 characters, but i just got so over playing it! It took over my life at one stage for about 3 weeks straight haha.

This new Cata expansion looks really awesome and i'm thinking about going back to playing (casually).

divorce + wow = win

go to wow site and click the forgot username and password buttons!

They didn't have battle.net accounts when I stopped playing (january 09).

After playing around with it a bit I think I may have found my old account, however when I went to log in (on wow site) after merging account with battle.net it said the account had been banned.

I have been getting heaps of blizzard and battle.net emails over the past year and a bit but I can't tell the reals from the fakes so I just ignored them.

I cancelled my subscription and it was definately not banned at that stage so I'd say it's been hacked a long time ago.

How long do you usually wait on hold for blizzard?

yea id say it was hacked, its quite common if you dont keep updating security details

blizz support is shocking, depends on the time of day, 30 mins - 1 hour

but think of it as a benafit, the sucker who hacked ur account and who has been playing it for however long you havnt, you can just leech his characters that he has spent so much time on

10 day trial graphics are different to the actual game i'm pretty sure. to keep the download small.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping :whistling:

Im looking forward to the new expansion, but the changes in all the talents are soo bloody confusing. Resto druids have been completely nerfed, but on the other hand, balance druids are awesome now.

My ele shaman is in full tier 10 and i would struggle to pull 7000dps in a 25man raid, now with the new talents i can happily sit on 10,000 dps +.

Even though the graphics might not be the best, think of how big the game is, and how many things there are in the in-game "world" to load. The graphics arn't that bad, but with wow its more about the storyline and the characters involved.

Cata looks awesome.....going back to the original storyline of the black dragonflight :P

i dont think blizzard aimed to make the graphics awesome, and you'd be stupid to make such a large game with excellent graphics, because to put it simply...

simple graphics = works on more pc's = more people playing = more profit for blizzard

but also...

simple graphics = room to expand game play = funner game

although i do like a realistic looking game, wow just isnt the type of game to look realistic, its the game play that people enjoy, who cares about good looking graphics when 25 guild members are downing a hard boss!

as for the new talents from the new patch, im still deciding if i like them yet, they are defiantly simpler, and my mage is defiantly hitting harder (was maxing 7k crit at level 76, now im maxing 16k) and i heard pallys are nerfed, the talent trees are cut way down which is nice and neat, i dont like the stat panel that you have to open and scroll down to your spec (spells, melee etc) every time.

they need to fix the BG ques, they always say < 1 min and you always wait longer.

i dont quite understand the honor point system now, you get honor points for everything??? and the badges are different to which i havnt looked at since im not 80 yet.

i never played the classic wow, so what exactly is black dragonflight???

All the badges you had before this patch (frost, heroics, triumph badges etc) were converted to honour points. When you do any dungeon (level 70+ i think) and down the boss/s you get honour points which you then use to buy your tier 10 gear with and shiiiiit.

In classic wow & wow "lore", there were the "dragonflights". Green, red, blue, black (maybe one more cant remember haha), and the head of each dragonflight was in charge of some serious shit. In the end, neltharion the earth-warder (now known as deathwing) betrayed them all and now he comes back in cataclysm and looks like he is going to f**k some shit up.

Go to www.wowwiki.com and have a read about WoW Lore from Vanilla WoW......the history behind WoW etc is really interesting to read :D

Haha just do random dungeon after random dungeon, so you will hit 80 in no time and have heaps of justice points for better gear

I'm slowly gearing up my druid, and my shaman is pratically full tier 10, heroic 25m gear lol.

nice!

i have a 80 rogue in random gears, i dont know much about the tiers so i cant really say what hes got

Yeah patch 4.0.1 really put a dampener on Cata for me, the changes wasn't what i was expecting (I wasn't reading the Beta notes either) I just can;t say I'm impressed with the talent tree changes. Atleast with Wrath and BC the Talent trees introduced so many new abilities for all classes, cata is just the same old with the worthless talents taken out.

At this stage I stuck between playing Alliance or Horde. Horde races are much more manly, but I'm sick of the KB warriors, plus worgens look tops - wonder if the dickheads will follow and barrens chat move to goldshire ...

Just got off the phone to blizzard. Found my account. I cancelled jan 2009 but it got hacked... got banned only like 3 months later so I doubt I'll have 12 lvl 80's waiting for me :(

Gotta wait for account management to remove the ban.

lol

unless they are good players and got atleast one 70/80 in three months?

    • Haha yea it's a bit of a weird setup at the moment, just wanted to make sure I sorted out any headaches before dyno day. At the moment I've changed the exhaust manifold, turbo and downpipe, 460lph fuel pump and rising rate reg as well as the previously mentioned headstuds and gasket. The nistune was already mapped for the car as it was and drove around for a few months no worries. The plan is to run flex fuel hence the big pump, which I've wired direct to the battery through a relay to avoid voltage issues.
    • Um. Was the ECU the same as the one previously there? I know R33's needed R32 GTST ECU's or other tomfoolery to run Nistune. This is such a wild setup. Most people would plumb in the turbo then not drive the car (i.e tow it to a tuner). What's actually changed since it last ran?
    • I'm a bit stuck with this one fellas, I recently decided to undertake a turbo conversion on my GTS-4, ended up pulling the motor to replace all the seals and do an mls head gasket and arp head studs while I was at it. Everything has gone according to plan, no oil or coolant leaks, compression checked out, and decided to give it a test before I book it in for a tune As it stands right now, the turbo only has oil lines plumbed so that I don't put boost into my untuned engine, and I'm using the factory GTS-T crossover pipe with a maf and poddy as a temporary intake. The car starts with relative ease and idles amazingly, however as the title suggests it really doesn't want to rev up, runs very smooth but almost feels choked out and unresponsive to the throttle, almost like it's running lean or something? I've triple checked my vacuum lines and timing with a timing light, injectors haven't been touched as of yet to avoid flooding the engine and worked perfectly beforehand, new plugs and coilpacks, I've even unbolted the cat just to see if it spontaneously collapsed, no dice The car currently has a nistune r32 gtst ecu installed so I have no way to check for fault codes. At this point I'm a bit stumped. Is this normal behaviour for a car with a turbo bolted onto the exhaust going nowhere? I'd imagine the turbo wouldn't cause this much restriction in the exhaust without the boost going through the intake. Any ideas? If necessary I can link a video of how it responds to full throttle while in neutral.
