Retrofitting R33 or R34 Dash to R32?

Hi,

I have been toying with an idea: does anyone know if it would be possible to 'retrofit' a R33 or R34 dash and centre console into an R32?

Had a quick search with no luck.

It might be a smaller car, but how much of that is just exterior sheet metal...? I guess what we would need are the interior measurement for each model, and perhaps a rough idea of how each dash is attached to the interior.

I would guess the the 32 and 33 would be the closest match...

The reason I bring it up is I really like the R32's, but I think the dash looks a little dated. So it would be nice to have the best of both worlds.

The one most likely to fit is the R34 dash, because the R34 is actually slightly smaller than the R33, but not as small as the R32.

If anyone has any info on this, I'd be really interested...I wanna hook a 34 GTR computer and that funky LCD instead of getting the Blitz R-VIT!

personally I think the dash in the 32 is ingenius - having the light switch on the dash rather than the indicator switch is good, same for the wiper controls.

The only reason I'd change the interior is that the 32 interiors are getting old and falling apart like mine.

edit: what's the cost of a 33/34 interior?

Talk to an R34 front cut owner and im guessing they are pretty cheap (condition?). May be expensive though getting the speedo/tacho gauges, warning lights etc all working.

No No one has given me measurements, and my car doesn't arrive until later this year anyway.

I reckon it can be done as someone in the NSW forum has fitted R34 rears seats into his R32

Here in melbourne some guy put a r34 dash into a 33gts-t, fits purfictly.

Umm his number plates are GTR007 i think.

GTR007 is the show car that was for sale on Ebay.... had 32,000.00 on it... Damn nice car... and damn CHEAP too...
