Reading that back, I sound a bit bipolar lol

That man Iron Chef is a true philanthropist at heart (- not in pocket).

He is willing to sacrifice stereo equipment, rear wiper mechanism, air conditioning in his own car, just so you can have it in yours.

What that man does for you makes you want to invite him for dinner at your own home. (BTW, his taste extends to Entree: truffles on asparagus spears, Mains: Chateau Briand, Dessert: Bombe Alaska)

Hint:- beware of anything above in parentheses

Edited for troofs Terry. :starwars:

^^^ Oh dear - I didn't know what you know!

Because you (Noel) always speak the truth (and "can handle the truth"), I shall take extra precautions in the future. :starwars:

^^^ not talking to you... glib

My dealings with Iron Chef is such that he is soooo "silky smooth" alright!

He tells me that my newly acquired ADVAN RG I wheels are the best that have ever graced an R34 GT-R.

Then, in Performance Imports magazine #122, he has the temerity to announce to the masses that the ADVAN RG is just second best to the VOLK TE37.

Now how did Iron Chef know that I would put up with second best???

Then I look at Sean Connery and realise with a sigh, that he is satisfied to be second best to Roger Moore :P

NB: I will admit tho' that the "IMPRIMATUR" column in PI is most informative - to the extent that one wants to keep that page and throw the rest away!

I ranked them in terms of historical significance, not personal preference! The RGs are top of my own list - nothing wrong with Sean Connery at all

i think that te37s are also better than the advans haha thats y i bought them lol

my experience with Kristian from Iron Chef Imports was exceptional. He even offered me a free reacharound. You don't get that kinda service anywhere else. Definitely on my recommended list.

^^^ He is superb isn't he?

Yes I know that TE37s win the ratings in PI #122 and elsewhere - lol. Kristian's joke with me is that he sold me the ADVAN RG I and his service was exquisite - right down to basic communication.

Still regretting selling them Terry!

    • Do they sound as good as Japanese exhausts? Ive heard their made in china and can cheap out on materials
    • I had a 3inch varex mid muffler with a rear cannon. It was quieter closed but it wasn't enough to pass a DB test which are very strict. Still needed a silencer as well.   So they do work but they are also not magic.
    • Ah ok, I called a while back and they told me that. From memory I couldn't see anything in the PDS but I called just to ask questions.
    • Plenty of modern cars run things like Varex exhausts, from HSV through to Ferrari. Their systems are usually setup so once you meet a certain condition (RPM seems to be the main kickover on the HSV from my experience) they automatically open. You could do the same some aftermarket ECU, IE, above X throttle, and X rpm, open the valve, otherwise shut, and then also have a switch to override it when you want a nice exhaust. On my boss' HSV Senator, I pulled the fuse on the variable exhaust, and that fails it into the permanently open position. He loved it, and was the exact amount of idle noise etc that he wanted from it, but didn't want to buy an exhaust for it incase it was droney or shit sounding.
    • I still haven't gotten around to fixing mine. Now the blend actuator has broken AGAIN. Twice in 20 years. tsk tsk.
