yeh i tried the delta an1 - an2, doesnt seem to work for me, so i just use an1 and have tried to calibrate it to read the same as the gauge, but under WOT it doesnt seem to be the same,

i have tried different earths but the instructions and their website say u must try to connect all earths to one lug, even the signal and heater grounds together.

i have it working now with the gauge but every now and then it freaks out and i have to jack the car up take the 02 sensor out and do a free air calibration then refit.

ignore their website in this case, i tried all of recommended setups i found on all sorts of sites and none worked. wired it up delta but without the option selected and used a seperate earth for atleast the heater ground and it worked perfectly. just keep trying different setups until it works

ok cheers, ill try this this morning, to me your way makes sense, surely the heater ground would put a lot of noise/ signal interference through the system ground which is extremely sensitive.

to keep on topic i got my standalone innovate from ebay, think it was $350ish

they arent hugely expensive, they are a local product and they work well.

im thinking of getting the LX1 display with 2J2 controller + bosch sensor = $394

anyone using this particular unit/combo, also thinking of outputing narrow band to ecu as my o2 sensors arent working

thats the setup i have except using the older 2J1 unit. With the R32 they use different o2 sensors and im not sure if the feed will work properly. (or was it only some of them that used the funky sensors?)

Just some more innovate info i came across which mirrors my experiences:

I was the original sole Australian distributor for Innovate and literally sold hundreds of LM-1's and LC-1's and can personally tell you they are garbage, I got sick of customer support and needing to work around their glitches.

Short story is if you use a proper AFR instrument (not a toy) then you will have NONE of the issues they crap on about! regardless of where you place the sensor and no magical "lean misfire spikes" LOL........ I find it funny now, but was not so amusing when I had to deal with that crap every day.

I use in my own car a Japanese NEKO Corporation AF700, it feeds into my G4 and also my BLitz boost control and all three give and log exactly the same figures, and my sensor is located right of the back of the turbo. The other instrument I use is an Autronic B model meter when doing back up checks or other cars, again never ever an issue. Both of these professional instruments use lab grade NTK sensors and not the hobby shack Bosch LSU.

Little tip for the day.

I still have had no problem with my Innovative, well over a year of everyday driving on ethanol. I installed an AEM the other day for one of the Stagea guys, not a bad unit for $200 delivered either...

Yikes! it would want to be better than the innovative at 5-6 times the price!

Question for guys running a wideband, do you use the aux output to replace the standard narrow band signal to the ECU?

I didn't, I ran the narrowband in the stock dump location, the wideband a foot down and a temp probe right at the turbine outlet. The dump looked like a mess.

One output to the gauge and the other into the Emanage.

I have a bung welded on my front pipe after the merge and wondering how everyone is running the wiring into the cabin, I don't want to go through the firewall

I had look underneath passenger side but can't see anything I can work with.. Am a lil blind btw :)

Innovate released a new O2 gauge setup in November last year, It's called the MTX-L, unlike the LC-1 that has a control unit and then a gauge seperate, the MTX-L has everything contained within the gauge. This keeps the cost down as they were aiming to make it the cheapest Wideband in the market.

I run mine up through the gearshifter hole.

run myne through with the main engine loom into the passenger footwell

i like the idea of the controller integrated into the gauge. wonder if they're gonna be more reliable than the lc-1s tho. still use the same bosch sensor which is a little gay (killed 1 in only a few months of limited use).

Like I said, my Bosch sensor is still going strong after over a year on Ethanol and 100 dyno runs, mounted close to the turbo. I know moisture can ruin them if installed in the wrong orientation but I guess there are always bad batches. I know Trent had to change them regularly and I suggested to him it could be because the cars were being tuned and running rich as F*#K causing carbon to build up on the sensor. Only a theory though.

    • Convert to dual filament bulb   FWIW, it will look odd - I dare say a bit dumb as it looks like your flasher relay has shit the bed.
    • If the RB20 box in the car is a push clutch, then yes, you will need to deal with the pull clutch on the turbo box. You either buy a pull clutch and don't use the old one, or you do the things needed to convert the turbo box's clutch arrangement over to push. Which is a bit of a f**karound. "Making" a custom tailshaft is the easy part. But you will need to source the front clip yoke - the bit that goes into the output of the gearbox. These are not as easy to find. They are out there, but they don't grow on trees the way that they used to.
    • Indicator bulbs are way too bright to use as a "corner marker" (we call them parking lights too). Sure. Go ahead and do it. But realise that you wil need to come up with all your own wiring to do it, as no-one will have a standard howto worked out for Skylines. It's just a matter of abandoning everything that Nissan have done and starting from scratch. You'd probably be better off retrofitting tailght/brakelight globe bases into the front indicator housings and using the taillight circuit for your corner marker and the brake light as the indicator. You'd need to work out how to kill the marker circuit while the indicator is flashing, otherwise it won't flash on-off, just bright-less bright.
    • Hi. A little bit of an update. It maybe(hope not) looks like i would need a new tranny(it would be "maybe" a cheaper or better option anyway) So i need some info. I know i need a different propshaft(i can make custom one) LSD is not a problem cuz the engine will be still(for now) N/A RB20. So if i buy RB25DET NEO tranny...is there something else i need? I read something about push/pull type but i do not know if i need to "change" something or i can just plug n play onto my engine a go? Thanks for the advice  
    • Good morning all, Bit of a random question but figured I’d finally throw it out after wondering for a long while. Before I start, I'm hoping to do this purely out of personal preference. I think it would look better at night, and don't mind at all spending a few hours and dollars to get it done. I've copied this from a non-Skyline specific forum, so I apologize for the explanation of our headlight switch setup that we all know. Here we go: Zero lights (switch off) Parking lights (switch position 1) being a rectangular marker on the outside of the housing, my low beam being the projector in the centre (position 2), and a high beam triggered by my turn signal stalk. Most North American cars I’ve owned of this era have power to the amber corner (turning indicator) light as part of the first switch (parking lights). I’d love to have these amber corners receive power when the headlights and parking lights are on (headlight switch), yet still blink when using the turn signal which is of course a separate switch. Hopefully I’ve explained my question correctly. Is anyone aware of a way in which I might be able to achieve this? Thanks in advance
