Wtb Standard Dr30 Turbocharger

My turbo has a broken seal. Looking for a standard fj20 turbocharger in good working condition.

Mainly after the early non-intercooled type but will consider the later intercooled version.

FJ20's use a very common basic T3 cartrudge between housings Nissan organised . Really any decent turbo shop should be able to rebuild it or supply a new cartridge which is the prefered option - all new guts . Actually can probably option a water cooled bearing housing which is no issue if you opt not to run the water lines .

How much are we talking approx for this service disco? Is the ceramic wheel retained?

I can highly reccomend Hypergear Performance

They do a deal where you send the original to them in Melbourne, then they send it back fully rebuilt and balanced, with a 12month warranty etc too.

also there is an option to get the wheel(s) replaced with better ones, machined out exhaust housing, or compressor housing to suit.

Depending on how much you want to pay, the 280ZX turbo's in USA come up on Blax240's auctions reconditioned. They are identical in everyway to the non intercooled FJ20et turbo with .63 rear housing.

Or expect to spend about $800 to get yours rebuilt. I highly recommend upgrading to a standard VL compressor cover for a bit of extra 'oomph' up top.
