Has anyone ever used an electronic speedo adjuster like this to correct speedo reading?

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=KC5435

My stag is reading about 15% over actual speed which is dangerous for my license.

Good article that one! lol

Duncan I've linked them all together, but one of the links will point you to: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/111435-speedo-c...ed-r33-gtr.html . The original uses a jaycar adjuster.

Also feel free to try the other method ;)

excellent, thanks for the detail.

Do you have any way to see the ECU speed after you modified the dash, eg PFC? I have a digital dash that runs of the ECU, so it's not really the dash I want to modify (unless of course the gearbox signal goes to the dash then the ECU, that is how the mechanical r32 one works but I kind of assumed the electric ones go to the ECU then the speedo

Electric one goes straight to speedo. Checked wiring diagrams.

A speed sensor wire goes from speedo to ecu for things such as speed cut, and idle up a little (100-200RPM) when not at a stop etc.

One of the threads I was reading, either the UK article or the SkylinesDownunder (all linked off the articles I have) was using some kind of device to test it on a bench, but I believe that was just testing what the speedo would show...

Yes, I did compare to the PowerFC hand controller, the PowerFC was closer afterwards, but this modification I mentioned was for changing the dash. Sorry :D

thanks sean :)

and yeah that's what I figured....I need it to correct the PFC and more importantly the super-rice nismo dash/epson EJ1.

I bought and have built the kit, will try and fit it this week.
