Hey all,

I have a 4wd Cefiro, (which basically has exactly the same suspension as a R32 GTR or GTS4) took it in for a 4 wheel alignment the other day

and they told me i need to Vhange the radius rod bushes. So i got some adjustable Superpro ones took the arms off pressed the new ones in,

and when puting them back in i noticed it is really hard to get the bush to line up with the bracket and the 2 studs in the arm to line up with the

2 holes in thelower control arm at the same time, when i did get it fitted it twists the bush maybe 20 degrees and seems to bend it all out of

shape, doesn't look right to me but is the same as the old ones, which were genuine units so when twisted they didnt look so bad as the tube

doesn't seperate from the rubber as it is one piece, but the superpro ones are 2 piece. Anyway I took em off and switched them left to right and

if you feed the studs from undernearth and have the nut ontop, which when u look at nissan fast looks wrong, it all fits nicely. So my question is

which way does every1 else's fit with the nuts to the top of the lower control arm or nut at the bottom and if they r at the bottom is your bush

all twisted?

Thanks in advance.

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
