4wd Light On

Driving to work yesterday and the 4wd light came on. Checked the ecu in the boot and got code 21 out of it.

I looked it up: "21 Throttle sensor or circuit"

Anyone have any idea how to start trying to fix it?

I do the normal 32 gtr trick and flick the ignition off then on and the light goes away, but sometimes comes back randomly or when i use the brakes, ie stopping at lights or slowing for other cars.

Any help appreciated

get multi meter and adjust the throttle switch to 0.4volts at idle.

if still no good, you need to splice in the attessa tps signal wire to the engine ecu signal wire.(bypassing the in/out that the ecu uses)

I check the voltage at the ecu yeah?

Think we tried that before, couldn't get it quite right, but i'll have another go when i have a chance or on the weekend

i was just about to make a thread labelled the same thing, does ur oil resovior fill up past max when u turn the car off and drain back down to MAX after u start the car up again?

im puzzled dno where to start

Not sure, but i'll check next time i'm in the car

My light only comes on, if you have the headlights on and press the brake, kinda confused about that one
