Z32 Afm Whats The Min I Need?

Hey all, im looking at fitting a z32 afm to my car cause the standard one has crapped it self. Just wanting to know can i run it on my standard computer or will it not work?? If it wont work what is the other options apart from a whole computer replacement??? Thanks for your help....

you must stick with the stock air flow meter with the R33 ecu.

you can get the ecu modified and remapped but that will cost the same as 3 or 4 z32 afm's and you will have no gain in power. Here's an idea. Take your money flush it down the toilet and post it on youtube. More value for money that way.

It won't run on the standard ECU. You could go Nistune, but you have an R33 which means you'd need to use an R32 or Z32 ECU - plenty of threads about using it anyway. With that starting point, search is probably your best bet.

if you can afford a new ECU and retune then just replace it with a second hand item.

there are plenty of people getting rid of their stock AFM's

if you change injectors or AFM's to non stock item's you'll need a tunable ECU to run them as stock ECU won't

Yeah it is just in the process of being changed over to a z32 item right now for my retune with diff injectors etc so it is definitely working. I am in Adelaide but could post it, I might steal the sticker off the casing to make mine look stock but that doesn't affect its working.

Dunno say $100 and I'll post it anywhere in Australia? Should be able to send it early next week if you are interested, a no fuss fix to your issue.

And also does it matter if its a series 1 or 2 cause my car is a series 1????

yes, plugs are different. s1 is green sticker, same as silvertop rb20
