Reverse Lights

I have a manual r33 and have encountered a problem with my reverse lights. When initially engaing it into reverse, the lights totally do not work. Although, when letting go of the brake it flickers on and off.

Ive checked the fuses and the globes and they are ok.

I assume its a wiring problem so how can i check it out?

Check to make sure its getting power back their and a proper earth. Then I would look for the wire that goes to the gearbox underneath the car, that may be broken or not making a proper connection.

yeah ill have a look at it today.....would i need someone to engage it in reverse while i test for power?

put the ignition on "3" or Run, whack it in reverse and that should put the lights on... you dont need the car running to do this.
