In brief:

car R33 GTS-T

RB25/30 - GT3076R 0.82 rear low mount on stock manifold at 20psi

Plazmaman plenum + 72mm TB

256 Poncams

Haltech S2000

Single 044 with Surge tank

570cc Siemens injectors at 92 % to achieve 337rwkw.

I can't say how much I love the way it drives.

Smooth linear acceleration until around 4200 rpm then it really comes on.

For a street car, I'd have to say it's perfect.

However for the very occasional track day I'm considering an E85 tune.

If I upgrade to 870cc injectors, what differences would I expect on the street ?

Will I lose that perfect smooth idle, low down cruising economy, linear power

cheers

I think you'd be one of the first people to get over the 300rwkw marker on a stock manifold with a 3ltr!

I know a few others ran into problems a while ago (Joel from SA was one). :action-smiley-069:

Everything should be fine if you upgrade injectors either way mate as long as your tuner is competent.

I've had factory, 550 & 740cc injectors in various setups with a PFC, i didnt notice a difference with any.

Cool,

My tuner is Justin down at Tweakit.

He used to work for Haltech and knows them like the back of his hand.

When I first bought my car, it had en E6K in it with all the fuel maps mucked up.

It was around 190 fwkw, after he tuned it, it was 247.

Tuning shouldn't be an issue, especially with the S2000.

Cheers

I have a perfect idle with the 610's, I guess you wont know until you get them fitted. At under $500 it is worth the chance... Wont you need more flow than that for some headroom?

It's probably gonna cost me more than that.

My ignition module is mounted over the fuel rail for starters and I think the plenum is in the way too.

Then there's the dyno.

Probably $1500 all up.

If I can get close to 390 rwkw with E85 I'll be happy.

Hoping for around 350+ on pump fuel.

I'm sure the 870's will supply more than enough for the 3076 can handle.
