get it compression tested take it for a drive if it feels good, no weird noises etc etc buy it.

Actually there was a weird noise behind the dash somewhere.. sounds like something loose or electrical.... well i called Revzone, but not sure if they are any good.

Get an RACV inspector to inspect it, they'll pick every little thing that's wrong with it.

That will give you piece of mind!!!!

yep try asking a racv inspector to do a leak down test on a gtr.

racv is last resort, they could tell u if its had a whack, but doubt they would pick up a tired rb26 or a clutch on its way out.

vspecv... thanks for the offer, if you were early i would've done it with you guys.. and you are right... racv wouldn't have picked up the clutch on the way out.

so... apart from the clutch.. i'm pretty much set to get the beast.... i finally own the legend...woohoo.

but ben said it was a nice tidy example and couldnt beleive hyper canned it, until we found out they had one for sale.

The 1998 GTR Creation is looking at was my first preference when I was looking for a GT-R

Ben said it was a great buy especially for the price and condition.

Hypertech hated it.

My 2nd choice 1996 GTR (Former Hypertech car) was given a good report by both Hypertech and Ben. So being an anal person as I am I took no risk and bought the 96 model for about $6k more than the 98 model is going for.

If the 96 model was already sold I would be now driving the 98 model Creation is going for.
