Got a call from the cops yesterday.looks like the car has been recovered. from what they said its not burned or crashed but im going to check the damage tonight.thanks for keep ing an eye out everyone. Once its fixed im gonna get insurance and move to a better area. Keep an eye on your rides, these c¥#@s are still out there

You are seriously farking lucky!

I'm sure there is some abuse there, but at least she's not toasted or bent. Get her fixed, get insurance, and get an alarm.

:)

Speaking of alarms ...

Ministry of Bass have a good selection of car alarms that they sell and install. Just upgraded my car security with them. They're more than happy to layby your goods. So if you want to get a bunch of audio gear and car alarm, you can pay it off and once you've paid enough for the alarm price, they'll happily fit the alarm while the rest of your audio install continues on layby. :)

Had a good chat with them on the weekend. A few horror stories about guys spending $4K on audio gear, and $0 for an alarm. And guess what? The car gets stolen. Alarms are cheap, protect yourself.

In case anyone is still reading this topic the cops did a letter drop with a pack of stuff including a brochure with a guy taking his gf on a date on the back of bike (that really cheered me up)

but they did mention this:

Where apparently you can get an immobiliser fitted for around $200. I'm not sure of the quality, but its is a lot less than the $800 I have been quoted. Unfortunately I didn't have $800 the day I got my old removed (it was broken) hence why there was no security on my car.

Hope this helps!!

that seems very much like the ones strathfield used to do for $50 if you were a student (government used to pay the other $100), does the trick though

also good to hear you got you car back....mine is still out there somewhere lol

cheers Bengi

800 bucks for an immobiliser? Who quoted you that? I paid less for a full alarm system!, professionally installed.
