Hi guys,

Just wanted to pick your brains a little in terms of the DVD player in my V. It wont play dvds. I have tried both burnt and regular but nothing hapens. Playing around with the TV controls I have gotten onto what I think is the AV DVD screen but nothing. Is it that the DVD player is region locked? or am I doing something wrong?

The DVD player in the car can only read the DVD's for navigation i think. they cant play normal DVD's (i.e movies e.t.c)

So since navigation dont work there is no harm in replacing dvd player with one that plays dvds

The dvd rom above your glovebox controls all your screen menus. The dvd rom is there for you to get an english conversion. If you take it out the screen wont work. Also the aux input for the tv is in the left side of boot. You could put in an aftermarket tuner.

DOESN'T ANYBODY READ THE FKN FAQ I WROTE!!

I did read it awhile ago but I ask on the back of watching this video , in which he still has the Jap screens but has an aftermarket DVD in the spot above glovebox

He at the 2:20 mark goes from dvd screen to original Jap screen
