i had a r32 gtst imported, and it is mysteriously boosted. no boost controller, no bleed valve, but its running bout 0.8 bar. the car is also going through heaps of oil without leaks or blue smoke. anyone got any anwers?

what sort of mods has it got cause if its got a good filter and exhaust on it, it will pick some boost up there, my car is not boosted but i run about 9psi with just a filter and exhaust as for the oil not really sure.

what about a retuned ecu by any jap companys??? check your ecu if it has its seals broken or some logos or brands on it other than nissan.

0.8bar is stock boost for a R32 GTST...how much do you mean by "HEAP OF OIL"

my guess:

- soomeone has changed the wastgate actuator to one which provides more flow over the exhaust wheel before the wastgate opens, thus more boost

- oil usage.... hmmmm... no leaks you say? i say check again...! if not maybe its buning but you jsut can't see it very well (seeign a its only through the rear windscreen). when i had issues with my old supra burning oil, i tried this test (on a still day): open the windows, then from rest put it into reverse and reverse quickly so that the exhaust released comes into the cabin. smell like burning oil? for some reason the car needs a load to release a tuft of blue smoke...

cause ur car shouldnt be using lots of oil like sla666 said
