where do you work benm?

North sydney cant be half as bad as peak hour sydney from 3:30pm - 5:00pm the M4 is at a standstill until you pass the toll heading towards penrith.

one day I was going to go to parramatta by train but there was a train strike. had to take westbus on the M4 to seven hills then after that a bus to parramatta.

2 and a half hours. it only takes 40 mins or so by car.

I had to do the same thing back to penrith. must have been 60 people in one bus. went back to seven hills and there werent many people in the line for penrith ( about a full bus with no standers ).

Spent half the day travelling

I work directly opposite Penrith Plaza. If I open my office blindes/window I can smell the burgers cooking at McDonalds and get quite a nice "view" of the surroundings :aroused:

I started work today at 4pm, I left home at 3:51pm and made it just in time  Normally I finish work at 4pm, I'm home and watching foxtel by 4:15pm everyday :headspin:

I believe i'm under paid by about $5k but hell 10mins to/from work instead of 2hrs (car + train from Penrith -> City) twice a day im quite happy to be under paid when it means I leave home at 7:45am and get home at 4:15pm (2.5hrs of travel per/wk vs 20hrs travel).

Ben

On that topic of 5k less, i work in the city and live in the mountains, i just paid for my yearly train ticket last week $ 2038.

Oh yeah i was only an hour late home yesterday, from macquarie street to glenbrook, i don't think thats too bad.

Ok and so now how much is your time worth ?

At bare minimum u'd be doing 15hrs travel a week (3hrs per day, 1.5hr each way). To me thats worth about $250/wk.

To me the jump at the moment just isn't worth it.
