Car Alarm Reviews

Guys,

I'm looking into upgrading the alarm system in my car. Now I'm not about to start another "which alarm is best" type of thread.

I just want to know if you can direct me to a website or anywhere that provides at least a decent review of the more popular alarms available today on the market (both budget and top of the line). I have searched on google and SAU amongst many other places so perhaps I'm getting my "keywords" wrong or sumthing?

The info would help me greatly in making up my mind on what to get.

I am aware that an expensive alarm isn't always the thing that saves my car from theft and what not, but more so the quality of the installation.

I've read alot of the posts in here by Chris Rodgers, Daniel PPI and a few others so yea.

I'm sorry. Perhaps I should have mentioned that a budget hasn't been put down because I don't really have one.

I don't mind getting a $150 alarm but paying $500 for the install in order to safeguard my car. I understand alarms/immobilizers aren't a guarantee that the vehicle is going no where but would only nuisance a professional thief long enough to make it "not worthwhile". The car is only worth $15k which is purely my personal valuation LOL

Thus, the point of the thread. If I find some decent reviews on alarm systems and accessories (M/Wave, Ultrasonic, Impact, Tilt etc..), I can figure out exactly what I need. The money saved by not getting features (windows up, remote start, gps tracking etc) and unnecessary accessories (as mentioned previously) can then be channeled into a good installation.

Perhaps suggestions for a combination of accessories would be great too.

I've found one such blog on google so far and am looking for more reviews and opinions.
