Reason that i ask is that i wanted to double check on an old forum post i read "a rotary engine that has an engine capacity of more than 1146cc as per the manufacturer's specifications".

Whats the deal also with different engines in different cars if anyone knows. (besides engine certificate etc)

As long as it meets power to weight requirements and is non-turbo you should be fine. Remember though, that as a P plater you are not allowed modifications to your vehicle, so don't think about monster porting a 12A to work around the restrictions ;)

how would they gather the power or weight figures as the engine and car would be totally different. was essentially planning on putting a stock 12a into a bmw e30.

90% sure P platers can't do engine conversions.

Could be wrong.

I think they are aloud to, although it has to be same model engine of that car which kind of kills it.

A nice engine conversion... counts as a modifications..

So guess what that means?

Yeah... well that sucks! haha...
