M35 Gearbox Controller

I am researching either running an aftermarket controller for the auto or giving up and modding an r33 gtr box to suit. I found this little box of tricks which should do the job nicely for $700 US.

Whats the weakness? You mean the overheating? I dont have that problem as I disconnected the torque lock up clutch.

Ah that's right.... you have the special edition gearbox.

The rest of us have the gearbox would give up under all that torque..

So do you have to program ALL the gearbox changing from scratch with that or is there a feature where it 'learns' the factory settings first? It would be a time consuming and laborious task if it all had to be done from scratch wouldn't it? I imagine Nissan spent a lot of time and money getting the shift points right under all conditions etc.

It all works great at stock power levels but bump up the boost, add a valve body and extra clutches, wack a 3000 stally on it and it wets its pants.

It would take a few hours to install and a day to tune I guess, a lot less effort than converting to manual.

your not convincing anyone here - be the first and manual conversion this bad boy! I only wish my stagea was manual, it would be a weapon with a real manual set-up and 300kw!

Anyone got a good R33 gtr box laying around they will sell me cheap?

Screw the standard auto box. It sucks.

R34 GT-R 6 speed would make it drive like a completely different car...... Mmmmmmmm

T56 will work, they are a 6 speed getrag out of mercs and bmws.

Also 350Z box will work with a modified bellhousing.

Oh, thats right, you have the pov pack rear drive, we all want to keep our awd.

350z box should bolt straight up, its getting a suitable awd box, make it handle the torque and weight, and then getting it to fit that we will all have issues with. R33 gtr is the cheaper option r34 gtr is the better one.
